The second edition of the NBC was organized in the summer of 2015. 20 Dutch and 20 Ghanaian students worked in mixed teams on the business cases of Vlisco, Stadler Renewable Energy, Witteveen+Bos, Susteq en Spaans Babcock. The teams worked online and went on a study trip of 10 days to The Netherlands in July and on a study trip to Ghana in August. All teams presented their solutions at the Dutch Embassy in Accra to the Dutch Ambassador and an independent jury of experts. Team Vlisco 2 (Power of Colour) was announced as the winning team. The team provided a multi-faceted way to do develop a tailoring offer for the mid-segmented brand Woodin. It included customization, shop layout and social interactions which has an expected 60% return on investment. The solutions of the other teams, nine in total, were well received by the participating companies and they have increased their business because of the solutions. Several participants did an internship with the companies after the New Business Challenge and they are still in contact with each other by visiting network events.
