Formal Welcome and Get to Know Accra

The next day began with the reconnection of the teams. All participants were reunited at the Yiri Lodge on the University of Ghana Campus and after some practical announcements, the teams were reconnected by the coaches with a ‘cross the line’-exercise.
The group then traveled to downtown Accra for a formal welcome by the Royal Netherlands Embassy in Accra. They were warmly welcomed by Gladys Ofei, Senior Trade & Information Officer. What is the role of the Embassy? Gladys introduced participants to the work of the Netherlands Embassy in Ghana, focusing on policies and programs. Participants were also pleased to hear about the Orange Knowledge Program, as well as the Orange Corners program. Deputy Head of Mission, Katja Lassuer, and the 1st Secretary of Economic Affairs, Bram Van Opinjen, both stopped to welcome the participants and wish them well for the days ahead.

After a typical Ghanaian lunch, the teams were challenged with a scavenger hunt, they set off to Osu Oxford Street and its environs to fulfill their fun assignments aimed at getting to know Accra better.

Work has officially began
On the 18th of June 2022, the participants enjoyed a pleasant morning’s trip to Prampram. This was the day of the company visit to the Oceans Green Beach Recreational Destination.
